The RTRN Scientist Directory, the preliminary interface enabling researchers across RCMI Translational Research Network (RTRN) to create and update their personal profiles as a means of sharing their research interests, skills and achievements in hopes of forming productive collaborations to impact health disparities research was introduced to the RCMI Community in 2010. The result has been a robust directory of more than 1,400 scientists and support personnel available to form collaborations across the network.
The new and improved RTRN Scientist Directory is based on a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded open source research networking software called Profiles. This comprehensive database allows the RCMI community to search specifically for other scientists in the Network as well as identify researchers at non-RCMI institutions. The RTRN Scientists Directory, renamed RTRN PROFILES, will launch in Fall 2011.
