1st Annual Obesity Research Day

About this event:

This all-day special event, co-sponsored by CDU AXIS, UCLA ISAP, and the Pacific Southwest Technology Transfer Center (PSTTC), will feature many distinguished speakers from various disciplines who will discuss their research in the field of obesity. This live event will also be simultaneously web-conferenced via WebEx, where attendees may view each presentation from their computer or conference room (by special arrangement).

Participants will learn:

  • The background on obesity research at CDU.
  • Obesity in minority populations.
  • The effect of diet and inflammation related to obesity.
  • Obesity and the risk for cancer.
  • The neurobiology of obesity
  • Food, food accessibility, exercise and obesity

Who should attend?

Researchers, health care practitioners, students and others who are interested in obesity.
