PONCE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE Announces POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS in Molecular biology and Virology,


Positions for Postdoctoral trainees are available in several areas, both in mammalian cells and human tumor-associated viruses.

We are seeking a full-time Post-doctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Qiyi Tang in the Department of Microbiology, Ponce School of Medicine to study the mechanistic interactions between Cytomegaloviruses and host cells. This research is geared towards understanding and modulating the earliest virological and immunological events that may inform on novel vaccine approaches against cytomegalovirsues. Our laboratory is well facilitated and sufficient to study molecular virology, cell biology and biochemistry. We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual with extensive experience in molecular biology, transcription factor biology, gene expression analysis, cell culture, DNA sequence analyses, and protein analysis/production.

Applicants should have excellent organizational skills, should be reliable and collaborative, demonstrate proficiency in scientific writing and presentations and desire to be a part of a vibrant and energetic research team.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in the biological sciences, preferably in Microbiology/Virology and Immunology.
