RCMI Translational Research Network (RTRN) Data and Technology Coordinating Center (DTCC) will host RTRN DTCC Mobile Biostatistical Clinics and Collaborative Research Exchange. The mobile clinics will be conducted at various RCMI institutions throughout the year and will provide our researchers with an opportunity to work directly with the DTCC’s highly-skilled team of statisticians through statistical workshops and one-on-one consultations.
The purpose of the mobile biostatistical clinic and collaborative research exchange is to strengthen the collaboration between the RTRN Data and Technology Coordinating Center and University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, Universidad Central del Caribe, and Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The mobile biostatisical clinic is designed to share the statistical expertise of the DTCC with member institutions within the network (RTRN) through workshops and one-on-one consultation. The collaborative research exchange is designed to stimulate interaction between RTRN member institutions and the DTCC in the pursuit of collaborative research opportunities.
Statistical workshops on study design, sample size calculation, basic epidemiology concept, etc.; Jackson Heart Study (JHS) Vanguard Center Data Workshop to promote publications and ancillary studies using JHS data; One-on-One Statistical Consultation; and exploratory discussion about research interests in pursuit of forming collaborative research partnerships among all parties involved.
