RTRN communities are comprised of the people living, working and playing in the various geographic regions served by our RCMI institutions with a particular focus on the racial, ethnic and underserved populations such as women, children and the poor who are disproportionately impacted by health disparities.

RTRN’s collaborative teams are conducting research that addresses diseases impacting the African-American, Hispanic, Asian and Pacific Islander, and Native American communities across the nation and are implementing outreach programs to ensure increased understanding of information, resources and services that help persons coping with one or more of these health disparities.
